Sound Colors Paint Hope Beyond Tragedy
Contrary to the gloomy and self-destructive world the lyrics depict, the melody is surprisingly beautiful, even dreamy.
The soft resonance of acoustic guitar and the matter-of-fact drum machine create a sound that evokes the image of snow quietly falling and accumulating.
What does this musical beauty mean?
Perhaps it expresses the glimmer of salvation and pure affection that certainly exists within this tragic story.
Wolf’s peaceful expression shown at her end after living for revenge, Otacon’s tears mourning her death, and Snake’s quiet respect that honored her pride.
Even within destructive relationships, something that could truly be called “love” existed.

It is a timeless story that sublimates one woman’s intense way of living into music, confronting us with the universal themes of self-destructive love and tragic fate.

Crushed Profile
Crushed is an indie-pop duo consisting of Bre Morell from Temple Of Angels and Sean Duncan from Weekend. Their 2023 EP ‘extra life’ gained attention both domestically and internationally, securing a contract with Ghostly International. They released their debut album ‘no scope’ in September 2025. Texas-born Bre, now based in Los Angeles, and Portland-resident Sean freely blend elements of trip-hop, Britpop, and electronica in a remote environment. They develop a sonic world that weaves sharp emotional expression and warm catchiness into dreamy melodies and beats.
