“Is Wanting More a Crime?” Jordana’s ‘Jordanaland’ Review

Last Updated on 2025-11-20 by a-indie

Pain Hidden Behind a Smile

And “Hard Habit to Break” is delivered with the utmost “gap.” While carrying the heavy theme of alcohol dependency, the melody is surprisingly light.

And you tell me to try, I did
I can’t win when I’m running the game

So, you’re asking me why I live like I’ve already gone insane
I tell you it’s a hard habit to break

This contrasting light and dark between melody and lyrics is like pain hidden behind a smile, and personally, I felt a very endearing emotion.

Explosion of Suppressed Emotions and Founding of an Ideal Land

The EP explodes suppressed emotions in the final title track “Jordanaland.”

And if I wanted more, would that be such a crime?
Still do my very best to be the utmost kind

Because it’s all for me
The win, the scandal and the fall for me

Here, she no longer holds back. She clearly articulates her desires in the real world, her serious ambitions.

In contrast, in the outro, ‘Jordanaland’ is founded under Jordana’s quirky and gentle manifesto.

I’ll lead us all into outer space, yeah
I’ll mandate everybody be naked

My VP’s gonna be Luther Vandross

‘Jordanaland’ is a symbol of an escape filled with absolute love and healing, without hurt or pain, that may exist in everyone’s heart.

The repeatedly bright phrase “Jordana, you can-a!” sounded like an innocent yet powerful declaration affirming her own ideal land.
