🌌Lo-fi sound that accompanies nights when you let go of thought💤
still in a dream, the solo project of Uomi Eikichi based in Ehime, will release the new single “futene” on Tuesday, January 28, 2026!
This track doesn’t force emotions like “I don’t want to do anything” or “I don’t want to see anyone’s face” into words, but instead channels them into sound like escaping into sleep.
Influenced by the atmosphere of late 90s Japanese indie and alternative rock, the song particularly evokes the lo-fi texture found in early supercar.
The artwork features a piece by Ehime-based artist Uromotoutoka, delicately expressing the boundary between dream and reality. (yabori)

Started in April 2018 as Uomi Eikichi’s solo project. Inspired by David Bowie’s masterpiece, all songwriting and video production is done independently under the theme of “sound and vision.”
Released the first digital single “faith” in December 2020. In October 2025, released the digital single “(to the) inside,” gaining attention for its sound that crosses roaring shoegaze and rhythmic dance beats, incorporating essences of My Bloody Valentine and Curve.
Based in Ehime, this project continues to paint the boundary between dream and reality through sound.
About futene

“futene” is a lo-fi sound that accompanies nights when emotions have nowhere to go.
Rather than forcing emotions like “I don’t want to do anything” or “I don’t want to see anyone’s face” into words, the track channels them directly into sound.
Created with the atmosphere of late 90s Japanese indie and alternative rock in mind, particularly conscious of the lo-fi texture found in early supercar.
Letting go of thought and surrendering to sound like escaping into sleep—the stillness and wavering of such nights are expressed through still in a dream’s distinctive sound.
The artwork was created by Ehime-based artist Uromotoutoka, visually complementing the boundary between dream and reality.
