Penelope Isles’ Jack Wolter’s solo project Cubzoa has announced the release of their highly anticipated debut album “Unfold In The Sky” on October 24, 2025, via the prestigious label Bella Union.
Cubzoa is a solo project by Jack Wolter, a Brighton-based musician and producer from the UK.
The band Penelope Isles, which he leads with his sister Lily Wolter, has captivated indie rock fans worldwide with their dynamic and psychedelic sound.

From Isle of Man to Brighton
Jack Wolter’s musical exploration began on his homeland, the Isle of Man.
The Isle of Man is about the size of Japan’s Awaji Island and has no speed limits on road driving, making it home to the “Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) race,” considered the most dangerous motorcycle race.
Growing up on this island floating between Britain and Ireland, he moved to Cornwall to study fine art.
Later, he relocated his musical base to Brighton, where he truly began to flourish his talents.
His music is influenced by experimental indie, post-rock, and alternative rock, characterized by the “handmade” texture he creates himself.
He has continued his DIY spirit-filled activities, including self-producing and releasing three EPs through Bandcamp.
The Journey of Penelope Isles
Essential to understanding Jack’s career is the existence of Penelope Isles, which he performs with his sister Lily.
Their debut album “Until the Tide Creeps In” received high praise for its exceptional melodic sense and the sound woven by thunderous fuzz guitars.
In 2019 alone, they performed 100 shows, totaling 150 shows worldwide, and accompanied major bands like The Flaming Lips and The Magic Numbers on tours, establishing their position as a formidable live band.
However, their path wasn’t smooth, as their second album “Which Way To Happy” was created amid difficulties including emotional upheaval and band member changes.
Perhaps it’s because they overcame such adversities that their music resonates even more deeply with listeners’ hearts.
The Cubzoa project serves as an important expressive outlet for Jack, who has experienced band life, to once again confront his inner self.
